![]() AchievementsOUR STALLIONS Sapata Charlie: In 2005 at the Pretoria International Show in the Nooitgedacht classes, Fijnbosch Stud horses won the senior, junior and grand champion pure bred mare classes. One of the Fijnbosch stallions, Sapata Charlie, was Grand Champion part-bred stallion at the same show, as well as winning almost all his dressage classes throughout 2005. He has throughout his time here with us on the stud, done quite a few eventing shows which he has won every class he was entered in. He competed in quite a few Dressage shows and achieved top percentage in Elementary Dressage levels. He is now retired mainly to stud. Daydream Fabius: Daydream Fabius, is also a past winner at the Pretoria International Show and has one of the oldest Nooitgedacht breeding lines in his pedigree. In 2008 Fabius was introduced to the eventing world, which he showed alot of enthusiasm for. He favourite disciplines are Showjumping and Cross-country. He has really proved to have alot of spring in his jump when he did the six bar last year and ended up jumping 1.30m and clearing it with ease. Look out for him in the show ring this year! Calabash Pita: The new addition to the Fijnbosch family. He has been a past winner at the Pretoria International Show and numerous other shows. The manager of the stud has taken him on as a riding horse and he will be seen in the competition ring this year, in all disciplines. He already competed in his first jumping show in October 2008, where he went clear in all his classes. He is very bold in the country and shows alot of potential as an eventer.
RIDING HORSES: The horses of Fijnbosch have really excelled in the equestrian scene since the start of the stud. 2008 especially was a very successful year for our riding horses. We started off the year with the principal, assistant and the students of the Plettenberg Equestrian Academy, competing in the Equitrailing show. All the horses were placed in their classes. Chantelle won the Pre-Novice cross country on Ethyca Gemini, as well as the 80 cm and 90cm jumping classes. Genna on Fijnbosch Buchu, placing third. Chantelle on Ethyca Gemini, winning his first novice eventing show, with Genna on Bucha in second place. The students were placed in all their classes once again. In July 2009, Genna and Fijnbosch Buchu won the Eastern Cape SANEF Dressage Qualifier, which we were absolutely thrilled about as he was competing against some of the top Warmbloods of the region. The Plettenberg Equestrian Academy students competed in the Bitou Horse Welfare show and won all their classes in Showing and jumping. And were placed in others. Luke Speres riding Fijnbosch Buchu, won all his show classes. In August we excelled in the eventing scene, Chantelle riding Calabash Ruby Love in her first show, achieving 72% for her Pre-Novice dressage test, which was stated to be the highest test of the show. This mare shows alot of promise, as she only had 20penalties in the country. Looking forward to see what she will achieve in 2009. And Erane riding Fijnbosch Salvia, also at her first show, getting a clear round in the jumping and flying through the country, definitely watching this filly in the competition field. In October, Erane riding Ethyca Gemini, won the Victor Ladorm in the jumping classes. Very well done to both of you. What a good ending to the competition year. YOUNGSTOCK: We have several young horses which we are really excited about, as they show alot of promise in all disciplines. They will be making their debut this year, and you will be seeing them at the end of the year at the Pretoria International Show, strutting their stuff. |
